Sumner Surf Life Saving Club was completely rebuilt following the Christchurch earthquakes. The new facility is a well laid out building, doubling as the base for the surf life saving activities of the club, as well as a venue for weddings, birthdays and corporate functions.

As a modern wedding venue, Sumner Surf Life Saving Club offers couple’s an indoor / outdoor space, which is capable of hosting 80-90 people. The amenities include nearby parking and a fully serviced commercial kitchen - great for DIY wedding couple’s.

The outside deck area, complete with sail shades is a great spot to exchange vows. Given the close proximity to the beach, there are plenty of photographic opportunities at nearby Cave Rock, what is left of Shag Rock and on the beach itself.
