Christchurch Wedding with Jo & Guy

Christchurch Wedding with Jo & Guy I met Jo and Guy through Guy's mum, Jane. Jane called me out of the blue three-days before Jo and Guy were to get married. Jane wanted three to four hours coverage of their wedding and wanted to know if I was available on such short notice.

With no other jobs on that day, I was and booked the wedding in.

Unlike all my other weddings, I didn't have the opportunity to meet Jo and Guy until two-hours prior to their actual wedding ceremony. It isn't how I like to roll, but within 5-minutes of meeting Jo and Guy, I knew they were my sort of clients. We just clicked and that is the best feeling as a wedding photographer. I felt instantly at ease being around Jo and Guy.

Their wedding was a small event, held out at the Christchurch Births, Deaths and Marriages office out near the airport.

I have done a number of smaller Christchurch weddings now and I really like the intimacy of such events. That isn't to say I don't love photographing big wedding events - I do. It's just that smaller weddings can have a very different feel to them.

I left before the reception kicked in, but from all accounts it was a rockin' party.
